Approximately 4 years ago i.e around 2007, I read a book, authored by late C.K Prahlad, called as Fortune at Bottom of Pyramid, where rural india’s untapped opportunity were explored to the core ,Self Help Groups, e-choupal these are some of the revolutionary concepts which have changed the living standards of the rural community …but with this innovation glory there is BIG deep WORRY as well.Also, recently , I read biography of Capt G.R Gopinath, Keep Flying, and army captain turned Farmer to aviation chief…has shared very interesting and difficult times of his farming in Manglore. Persistance and Patience and Passion what drived him to choose farming as carrier option..where every time his CROPS got destroys and his attitude to MOVE ON what kept him going for many years and same he has also inculcated in his Deccan life as well.

Recent scenario , Where government is spending aggressively on infrastructure, ports etc in modern india that’s must to reach INDIA at 10% GDP , but some where BHARAT growth is left out.
FMCG and TELECOM brands have successfully penetrated into these rural areas, aaddhar an modern retail format by Future Group will be setting up 20,000 aadhar stores through franchise in rural india..which will create humungous job opportunities in bharat and will definitely help them see life beyond MANDIS for shopping.
Considering current scenario, Rural community, have lot of options on there carrier perspective as well, which is very good, but worry is no one is treating FARMING as an carrier now..???
is this the reason for huge gap in supply and demand of CROPS???
Is this the reason for real time inflation hitting our pockets?
Is this the reason ONIONS are at 100 rs KG?
It was being taught to us in geography in school days, india is agrarian economy, more then 70% of GDP contribution in Indian economy is done by agriculture?
Now its IT which runs our nation? And hence india is being called as intellectual capital of the WORLD..which Is very credible and laudable recognition..but at the same time we also need to look at conservation and augmentation of natural resources and farming practices..which we are not doing?
Real bharat loosing its glory, farmers doing SUICIDE and farmers son don’t want to be farmer ?
Middle of Pyramid which is suffering the MAX ..power of togetherness will not withstand government also, where recent EGYPT episode we all know.
We should sincerely request Government to take the rightful initiative in stipulated time, where FARMERS son become FARMER also…and we all would say…
“Mere Desh ki dharti..sona ugle…ugle heera moti..meere Desh ki dharti..”
